   This song was written by Herb Kretzmer, the same guy who among other things wrote the lyrics of the opera Les Miserables.

   1 of the greatest, philosophical songs ever sung, a song so many can share in its lyrics. It never ceases to create a melancholy feeling within me even after listening to it so many times. The emotions it stirs are so bitter sweet, it tells a whole life’s story entangled within a wonderfully haunting melody.
