oh my god i grew up with her beautiful chants from lets chant lets sing.
When teaching EFL, getting students to speak in a natural rhythm is especially challenging. I had learned about Jazz Chants nearly 20 years ago when I was an ESL volunteer, but never used them much in teaching. This week I pulled the Jazz Chants book off the shelf and used two of them with one of my students who is an actress. She loved it! After watching this video, I’m now thinking of ways to introduce other EFL students to chants. Thanks for the great suggestions on using Jazz Chants!
Jazz chants have proven to be highly successful in the EFL environment for students and student teachers in Costa Rica. Carolyn Graham had a wonderful idea and creation. Jazz chants are absolutely effective.

Carolyn is great!!! The best English teacher this world could ever imagine… she came to Nizhny Novgorod in 1996 – impressed all of us English teachers from all over Nizhny Novgorod oblast…. it was a pleasure to attend her workshops…and chants are really masterpiece of creativity… I would recommend all English teachers from all over the world to use Carolyn’s chants at their lessons!!!

When I was learning English at the age of 17 years old. I had an elderly american teacher whou taught me once the chants. Since then, I didn`t take class with any other teacher using chants. Now, I`m an English teacher and I was doing research about these chants. I started teaching English two years ago, but now I`m learning how to teach the language.
