miles davis – kind of blue. One of my Top 5 albums of all time. The 1950′s were such a pivotal point in this countries history. From Literature to Politics to Music.
We’re still, as a country, trying to intellectually digest all the innovations and revelations made in art and politics during this time period even here in the second decade of the 21st Century. And Jazz is no doubt a part of that progressive legacy.
Red Garland. The best jazz piano player. And the recordings with Prestige are among the finest jazz ever recorded. Imo.
