Unfortunately and sadly, her only child passed away three years ago, I am sure it had broken Phoebe in her last couple of years… but her amazing voice will continue to reach and touch old and new fans alike…and that is her legacy and immortality. Thank you for your post.

A real talent who had so much bad luck that she compounded awful decisions. Her voice and this song and one other, “Touch Your Soul,” will always have a place in my heart.

This song is a masterpiece. It showcased Phoebe’s great talent.
I always wondered why it wasn’t a big time hit ?
I’m so glad you put this up, I remember looking years ago in vain for this wonderful song.

She and I must belong to the same soul group. I have never been able to listen to her songs without crying. The words seem to begin inside me. She has moved me with each song without fail, starting when I was a child because my mother loved her, then as a woman. Her music lives forever.on

  9. Fort Myers Beach circa 1989. I had moved down there; drifted really with all the addictions that came with me. I vividly remember hearing this song on the beach and the comfort I immediately felt.

Life is going OK. I have been away from alcohol for many years now. I am so glad I found this song and thank you for posting it.

  10. Man, I have loved this song so much since I first bought that album (cassette) in 1989 or so. & Phoebe? First time I heard her … OMG, uhm … I guess it’s easiest to say I think we’re CONNECTED somehow, as I am greatly to the late singer Sarah Vaughan also. I hear their music – beyond MOVED! It’s a part of me TOO! : )

I finally found this song. My friend had the cassette, or CD and used to play this song over and over back when it first came out. I never heard it on the radio, but it was a big hit with me. Brings back fun and nice memories. R.I.P. Phoebe Snow.
