   I think they do. When I was doing musicals, people used to say that a certain % of the audience was looking directly at you at any given time, so you had to be aware of what you were doing so you wouldn’t break character. As for being in sync, practice, a lot of it.

   Yes, I’ve heard that, too. The cynic in me says that they just say that to get you to behave correctly. Ever see the really huge, deliberately elaborate, full-cast songs on Broadway? I’ve only seen a few, but they still amaze me.
