Heard this tune on Jazz FM, watched the video again and again then found the lyrics video. Haunting. Lions, you know who you are…………….
beautiful voice.. beautiful poetry!! I think I might have just played this song a few hundred time this week alone.. over and over and over again.. the horns are killa in answer to his voice!!
Amazing!
beautiful
A blessing to be able to hear this!! Great job on the artwork too! It fits the whimsical nature of the song!
Great lyric video, really suits this beautiful song <3
I love this song

That’s a hard one, but I’ll take a stab. His bass voice is in the range of blues legend BB King, but much gentler. Perhaps the Soul version of Joe Williams. You might try Donny Hathaway. Actually scratch all that…just look up “Kurt Elling – Nature Boy” on here.
As for musicians in this vein aka Modern Jazz. Buy, rent, pirate or do whatever you have to do to get “Giants Among Us”. That will do more to fill you in on all the magic that’s quietly going on in jazz right now.
Best,
D.Caf
Totally thought this was John Legend when I heard it on the radio.
