No, I don’t have Beats. I’m not dumb and don’t base my purchasing decisions on hype. I was referring to the things I own that are worth more than your life. I’m white, Sicilian/Greek/American, from the suburbs.
I also never said they were the same thing. I said that there are no ‘fake’ Beats, that they are all manufactured by Monster and some models were likely offshored, and were constructed with inferior materials which broke easily. I think the more expensive $500 ones had the metal headband, but really for $500 I can buy a pair of Sennheiser HD650s that sound light years better than the Beats do.
And it doesn’t just stop here. There is a whole lot of stuff sold out there which is purely based on style over substance. Cars, jewelery, clothing.
Just trying to do everyone a favor and steer them in the direction of a quality pair of headphones so they don’t get ripped off. One of my friends made the mistaking of buying the $200 Beats which were terrible in comparison to my Sennheiser HD280 Pros.
