Russell Malone (Jazz guitar solo)

From the live DVD : "Dianne Reeves – My living-room in Paris" Recorded from "Theatre Le Chatelet", Paris – 3rd November 2010 Russell Malone is actually playing the "Unchained Melody", last track from his last album "Triple Play", 2010. This guy is such an amazing musician, there are not many videos of him so I just HAD to share his talent. He definitely deserves some spotlight attention. As usual, rate and comment if you enjoyed this piece :) I do NOT own any rights on it, this is property of the respective owners.

I had no idea jazz was like this. I see there’s been some issue with metal on this page. I listen to that almost exclusively. This is beautiful music.

  2. I don’t get these people. Metal or Jazz, it’s all music. Metal guitar players who bash jazz are just as idiots as the jazz guitar players who bash metal. Any GOOD guitarrist knows how to play and appreciate even if they don’t listening to the style. It’s all about respect and preference. I for one, don’t listen to jazz but I admit it is a very beautiful style of music. You don’t seek this kind of beauty in metal. What you do seek is power, precision and harmony.

yeah, but still, calling hammet one of the best metal guitarists? petrucci is right, but Kirk? Seriously, he is one of the sloppiest and most terrible guitarists metal has to offer!

  4. Cuerdas para el alma……felicitaciones

  6. Nope. It’s post progressive norvegian hardcore.
