  2. One of a bunch of Nirvana Mega Hit Songs that are GREAT Acoustic Songs and Like This With Distorted Guitars and Hard Hitting Drums ! Amazing Song ! It’s ABOUT A GIRL ! ROCK ON ! Justin Berber can kiss my grits. This video even with the weird intro should have more plays on Vevo than any Justin Berber song ! And the end of this video is GREAT ! Smashing GUITARS ! LOOKS LIKE FUN ! ROCK ON ! Long live Rock and Roll, Pop, Poop, Crap, just fades away, Rock And Roll AND Nirvana Will Never Die !

  3. Before they named it Grunge, It was the “sub pop sound”:D
And I don’t thin they ever wanted to catagorised Nirvana’s music.
Kurt was always wanted to make a music like the mixture of heavy rock like the black sabbath and catchy pop songs like the Beatles:D
But around that time 1991 it was more like pop music because everyone like, what they did. Even the jocks liked them. But it really doesn’t worth it to argue about it

  4. Grunge is not a sub genre of punk. Not by far. Have you ever listened to Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden? That bands have more like a 70s sound, with big guitar riffs and long guitar solos. Punk is based on 2 minute power chord songs, Nirvana can be qualified as that, but never grunge. Listen to Alive by Pearl Jam, or Spoonman by Soundgarden and tell me if that’s Punk.

Grunge was a mix of a lot of different music style… Punk was just 1 style grunge guys picked up on

  8. rozzie101 says:

over 20 years, people have tried to explain what Grunge is/was. Punk… Rock…Heavy Metal,… etc. It was what it was. Exciting, straight from the heart music…and better then Hair metal…

  9. ccrocks97 says:

  13. well Eddie Vedder is pretty influenced by punk rock, such as Ramones. But I think it’s a combination of many genres..

  14. MaxVldmir says:

Nirvana has been called Punk, Grunge, Metal, and Pop.

Hehe. I like bands that don’t quite fit into one subgenre of music.

  15. I love this .Doesn’t matter if it’s grunge,punk,rock…just really good music.
