Was in Berkley CA. in 1978? I don’t remember the year. But saw Danny backing up Robt. Gordon, @ The Berkley Square. Never heard of him before that night. That performance COMPLETELY changed my guitar playing.
    I miss him so much…

  2. How about Big E killing it? I just wish he’d spent about 5 minutes on the E9 neck…

would still be much more than 99% of guitarists out there.

Now I know why Jimi Hendrix burned his guitar. It was in prescient humility for what Danny Gatton would play.

Great vid is that the les pulveriser he has attached to his guitar his use to use that a charlieswest side. He was one bad mofo

  6. moominpic says:

Yeah, he goes around the musicians’ section of heaven seeing all his idols. When he mentions to St Peter that he’s seen DG (it was Bono when I first heard it) St Peter says, “no…”

  9. Too friggin’ much. Better to play three good notes than a hundred annoying ones.

This is my favorite video ive watched it everyday for about a month some times more than once!!

  11. its not the pulveriser..its the “magic dingus box” it does more then the pulveriser…there is info on it on dannys website :)

  12. SUCKS BALLS to the nth degree.

    I want my 6:47 back!

  13. You need to stick to your Justin Bieber videos. There’s no accounting for taste (at least yours.)

  14. Buddy got to play with both Lenny and Danny. Fucking lucky!

    BEST SHIRTS EVER!

  16. pugggs says:

Listen to that bass… just keeping it right there the entire time.

It looks like he’s got Les Paul’s “Pulverizer” loop gizmo attached to the guitar.
