    You think the point of music is ‘to be aesthetically pleasing to anybody’?…..That’s a little on the wrong side of fucked up. The fact that we humans can string together arbitrary sounds into melodies and harmonies which in turn allow us to experience an entire spectrum of feelings and emotions….there’s a lot more to that than ‘aesthetically pleasing’. Try digging a little deeper, then you might see the real purpose of music.
