FOURTH CHORDS – Jazz Piano Lesson

Get instant access to my Jazz Piano eBooks at: www.JazzHeroBooks.com & connect with me on Facebook at www.facebook.com In this jazz piano lesson I show you how you can build jazz chords in 4ths, rather than the usual major/minor 3rd combinations. It has a sophisticated sound, and is heard in the playing of Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock and many others. Check out my other jazz lessons on my channel, and learn to play jazz piano.

    Really helpful, thank you.

  3. Is that the ND-700? How is it in terms of getting a nice full sound?

I’m using the Roland 700SX in this video. I’m a big fan of its piano sounds, and the weighted keys they have are so nice to play, I love it

Really liked your approach on fourth chords. Another variation I learned was voicing the lowest two notes as a tritone with the rest of the intervals being perfect fourths. Have applied doing some jams in phrygian mode.
