   Exactly: to me, she has lost her essence. She’s still got a pretty great voice and plays the piano excellently, but all that quirkiness and sense of being offbeat is gone. She has changed, but I’d say that rather than evolving, she has trimmed almost everything that made her stand out. If it’s her choice, well, but I’m afraid that the labels are the ones that pushed for her music to be more marketable.
